


Jake Pierson is a clarinetist, educator, and doctoral student at Boston University, where he serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Aural Skills. He holds a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University and a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of New Hampshire. His principal teachers are Robert Patterson, Howard Klug, and Dr. Elizabeth Gunlogson. Jake maintains an active performance schedule with groups such as the Boston Civic Symphony and Commonwealth Wind Symphony and has presented recitals and masterclasses across New England and the Midwest. Outside of his musical life, Jake enjoys cooking at home and exploring Boston’s vibrant café scene.
